my conspiracy theory is that the death of the press has been intentionally manufactured by the government and/or top 1% to prevent information sharing. disseminating news through a legitimate source (newspapers -> news) that is done by trained individuals with background experience is the best way to ensure visibility and responsibility, which is why it’s being cut at the knees. furthermore, independent local newspapers, although lacking funding also lacked the overhead that might be enmeshed in the political games that prevent what the public is owed, full freedom of the press. once reading those outlets went out of habit, the sources were twitter (let me not get into that) which 1) isn’t even an option anymore, 2) like any social media, allows literally anyone to spread misinformation, and people who have been used to receiving information in the written form by simply trusting that the source is vetted and morally and legally responsible for the accuracy of the text, took that shit and ran with it. so what now? what’s the future of speaking truth to power?

After taking a look in this here chest of yours, just yesterday, Thursday the 20th of April, it turns out that this was not perhaps the wisest move. We removed this guide from the ol’ trunk and let it free to the good people of Tumblr and, well. It’s all beginning to get a bit Hunger Games in here, and we suspect we only have ourselves to blame. i literally think im falling in love for the first time in an actual way and its so sweet and just feels right but its not how i imagined it would be and thats just giving me patience to wait and see how it plays out. but it feels good ☀️
